Safe Food is Good Food
The benefits of organic food are numerous. Primarily, the absence of chemical residue is one of the most important advantages. Artificial growth hormones, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides and/or genetically modified seeds are the hidden dangers of consuming conventional farmed products. Not visible to the eye, but immensely damaging to our body, we are unaware of the building up of toxins which inevitably lead to disease.
Organic farming on the other hand is a way of farming that minimizes some pests by the practice multi-cropping, crop rotation and through the use of natural resources to combat pests and crop disease. Farm animals through their manure, and organic compost enriches the soil quality improving tilth. Pesticides using natural ingredients such as chilli, ginger, garlic and neem are sprayed on the crops to prevent pestilence.
